Wonderful brother, wonderful human being - One of the GOOD Guys, has gone to be with the LORD but we really miss him!

Compton Fire Captain Javier Perez
It is with deep sorrow that Compton Firefighters Local 2216 and the Compton Fire Department report the death of Compton Fire Captain Javier Perez.

Brother Perez went into full cardiac arrest at home and was transported to Whittier Community Hospital where he passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010.
October 27, 1986 was the beginning of brother Perez's 25 years of service with the Compton Fire Department. He held the position of firefighter for three years before attending Mt. San Antonio College Paramedic Program and successfully completing and obtaining his Los Angeles County paramedic license (no. 4819).
Brother Perez attended many training classes from USAR to Wildland and was promoted to fire captain on February 24, 2002. Brother Perez was assigned to engine 42 on the "B" shift. He is survived by his wife Pat and two children, 5-year-old Isabella and 8-year-old Justin.

We will never forget you kindness and love for all people and will honor your memory by taking care of your wife, son and daughter.
